I watched the pilot tonight and caught these: Miss Brahms starts to laugh as she asks Mr. Grainger to remove his pants, and contrary to what Capt. Peacock says, Mr. Lucas' hankerchief is a lot worse, not better, after he flutes it.
Also just watched "Shedding the load". Capt. Peacock says his line too soon, which causes Mr. Harmon's line not to make any sense. Capt. Peacock repeats his miss-said line to set the gag up with the automated display unit. Then, when Mr. Humphries comes over to have Capt. Peacock sign his chit for the y-fronts, he looks down not once but twice to make sure he is on his mark for the gag to work. (It does, very amusingly)
1. A stagehand can be seen straightening out Mrs. Slocombe's bridal train as she emerges from the fitting room.
2. ( Not really a blooper, but more of an inconsistency) If Mrs. Slocombe got a new house out of the "wedding", why was she later living in an apartment in, "The Apartment"?

This is a "camera blooper" that I've yet to see mentioned anywhere....In S3E7 "Shoulder To Shoulder", Captain Peacock is brought into Mr. Rumbold's office after they play a hilarious round of 1970s phone tag.
Right as the secretary leaves, the camera moves behind Mr. Rumbold's left shoulder to show both him and Captain Peacock in the office.
For a brief moment, you see behind the very thin wall of the set for Mr. Rumbold's office.
This was funny because it reminded me of the bridge of Star Trek TNG. Although it looked very sophisticated on TV, the actors often joked about how flimsy it actually was.
One idea is that she simply hadn't moved in yet. The new home was there waiting for her, but perhaps she had to wait for the lease to expire on her old apartment before making the move.
In S7E3 "The Apartment", she finally gets her chance. She says she's "moving into her new flat" - there are no details given, so apparently the "new flat" is what her uncle purchased, making it more like a condo rather than a rental.
Just an idea. In reality, it's more likely that the writers simply forgot.

I remember this! It's funny how some things stand out even if it's a brief moment.
Speaking of Star Trek the regular series was the same way. William Shatner in his books mentions a lot how all the props were flimsy as it were.

I think this is pretty common for shows that run a long time and having big gaps between seasons. I'm just happy writers can come up with something entertaining in the first place making it easier to let these kinds of things slide. It allows you to build a story for itself like you did. 🙂
@admineml2 Yes, it is always entertaining that some things are continued between series while others are not. For example, they make it clear in some instances that each season counts as a different year; however, there are many others where it becomes very vague.
For example, there are multiple Christmas episodes, especially in Season 3 and 4, making it clear that these are two separate years. Additionally, Mr. Grainger's time at Grace Brother's is mentioned a few times and aligns perfectly with each season in which it is mentioned.
It's hilarious that in S4E5 "Fifty Years On" that Captain Peacock actually has to EXPLAIN the birthday tradition to Mr. Lucas........in reality he should have been through everyone's birthday four times already, since this is season 4. Obviously they had to do this in order to explain it to the audience, but it's still a fun "blooper" to point out.
Not quite a "blooper", however I thought it was funny that in S4E1 "No Sale" the entire staff is in the canteen discussing their plan to remove the early morning opening with BOTH Mr. Rumbold and Captain Peacock sitting directly behind them.
Also, Mr. Rumbold is supposed to have his own executive lunch room to go to, hence the reason we rarely see him. In S3E3 the canteen was supposedly changed into one large break area, however this obviously didn't last. In fact, in S7E6 there absolutely is an executive dining room when the staff take over the kitchen for a day.
Another blooper is that they are using only ONE single day's profits to justify whether the early morning plan worked or not. In reality, something like this would need to be done for a couple months before having enough data to make a decision.
Additionally, some of the numbers given don't add up, much like others pointed out for S4E5 and S7E6.
After Mr. Lucas finds the records for "last monday's takings", he says the amount was 325. He says the men's department is at 150 and the ladies are at 170, for a total of 320. In other words, they are only 5 pounds under what they took the prior Monday.
However, Mr. Rumbold says they are TWENTY pounds down a few minutes later when he gives Mr. Grace and update on the day's takings.
In season S7E2, the secretary comes into Mr. Grace's office near the end of the show and says that he has some very nice looking antique furniture in the room.
Mr. Grace says, "What do you mean antiques? They were all new when I first came here!"
Mr. Harman then proceeds to describe the antiques, saying that one of them had "once been used by a lot of soldiers", which means they were NOT brand new when Mr. Grace first arrived.
Just a funny error, otherwise this is one of the best scenes in the entire series, especially when we find out that the "knockers aren't genuine".
Another funny "blooper" is that at the end of S4E1 "No Sale", the final customer comes in to buy a raincoat. Mr. Grainger leaves the scene temporarily before coming out to say his final lines. He goes into the background behind one of back counters, and you can see him while Mr. Humphries is talking to the raincoat customer.
I don't think the actor (Arthur Brough) actually thought he was on camera. Instead he looks like he's standing back there, smiling and watching the scene like he's part of the audience instead of being 'in character' as Mr. Grainger.
I actually don't think he was meant to be on camera at this point, however the camera happened to catch him over John Inman's left shoulder.
Any thoughts?
Also, all Mr. Humphries/Mr. Lucas had to say was that they didn't have a raincoat in the customer's size and that would have been the end of it.
Another fun blooper to point out is that Wendy Richard (Miss Brahms) often could NOT keep a straight face during Mrs. Slocombe's 'pussy' jokes. The producer/director said that Mollie Sugden always delivered the joke perfectly with a straight face, but often Wendy would break up laughing.
For example, during S3E6 "German Week" they are all sitting at the table talking about what they're going to do after the meeting, waiting for Mr. Rumbold to show up. Mrs. Slocombe tells one of her jokes and Miss Brahms starts smiling - you can easily see that Wendy is doing everything not to break character and start laughing.
In the S4E3 "Forward Mr. Grainger", they actually switch the camera view and only show the BACK of Wendy while Mrs. Slocombe tells one of her jokes when they're standing at the lady's counter. They apparently couldn't get through the scene without Wendy laughing, so they just used a different camera shot so you can only see Mollie Sugden's face.
LOL - Here's a cash register blooper that I've yet to see anyone else catch.....It's in S4E7 "The Father Christmas Affair". I finally noticed it a long while back when I noticed that the opening scene already had Mr. Grainger with his tie 'caught in the till', waiting to get Captain Peacock's attention.
Of course, I'm sure some of the scenes are shot out of order, so they show the department floor during the opening music even though the actual episode starts in Mr. Rumbold's office.
The blooper is that the amount shown on the cash register changes while Mr. Grainger is standing there, meaning that they shot the scene more than once.
In the first couple shots the register reads "2-30". Then in the final shot it changes to "2-20" as Captain Peacock comes over to help out Mr. Grainger.
