Question: Regarding when AYBS first aired on the PBS station KAET. He remembers that his grandmother watched the show he thinks was the 70's. Was the show airing already then? 

Answer (Reply from PBS station): "After consulting with several people at Eight and checking with file copies of our monthly magazine, we believe that the earliest broadcast of “Are You Being Served?” on Eight (KAET on your website) was on Friday, October 7, 1988.  We have no record of any earlier broadcasts."
